You focus on the question.
I’ll take care of the moment—and what comes next.
Planning a proposal can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. You want it to feel natural, personal, and unforced—without your partner suspecting a thing. My role is to quietly help you plan, blend in, and document the moment exactly as it unfolds.
I specialize in discreet proposal photography and engagement portrait sessions across NYC, Brooklyn, New Jersey, Princeton, Philadelphia, and beyond. No staging. No pressure. Just honest storytelling.
You’re probably wondering if this will feel awkward, how to hide a photographer, what happens if the location is crowded, or what to do after the “yes.” That’s normal. This is why I’m involved before the day, not just during it.
We plan together in advance. I help you think through location, timing, crowd patterns, positioning, and simple backup options—whether you’re proposing in a busy city park, a quiet campus corner, or somewhere meaningful outside the city.
How it works.
First, we plan quietly.
We talk through your idea, your partner’s personality, and what kind of moment you want. I’ll share location and timing suggestions based on real experience photographing proposals in urban and semi-urban environments across the Northeast.
Second, discreet coordination.
I arrive early, blend in, and stay out of sight. Most partners never notice a photographer is there.
Third, the proposal.
You propose. I document it naturally from a distance.
Fourth, just-engaged portraits.
Right after the yes, we take a few relaxed photos while the emotion is still fresh.
Optional next step: an engagement portrait session.
Some couples choose to continue the experience with a separate engagement session on another day. This allows us to slow things down, explore a meaningful neighborhood or campus, and create images that feel more intentional and personal—without the adrenaline of the proposal moment.
Engagement sessions are relaxed, documentary-style portrait experiences. We walk, talk, pause where the light feels right, and let things unfold naturally. This works beautifully in city streets, historic towns, college campuses like Princeton, and quieter neighborhoods throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
This is a good fit if you want:
– Photos that feel like everyday life, not a photoshoot
– A setting that actually means something to you
– Images for save-the-dates, wedding websites, or prints at home
My approach is rooted in documentary street photography. I’m used to reading environments, working quietly, and letting moments happen without interruption—whether that’s in NYC, Philly, Princeton, or somewhere in between.
