Fall engagement pictures in Kingston: Lauren and Matt

Kyo started Lauren and Matt’s fall engagement pictures in Kingston, just a mile down the road from Princeton, near the entrance to the D&R Canal. Whenever we have clients who mention that they’d like a backdrop of foliage and peaceful nature, we recommend spending some time along the canal. It’s one of the most serene spots in central New Jersey.

(In fact, when we researched the history of Kingston and the D&R canal, we found that even before Europeans arrived in New Jersey, there was a well-worn trail used by the Lenni Lenape Indian tribe to travel between the Delaware and Raritan Rivers. The colonial settlers turned this trail into King’s Highway, which eventually became Route 27. And the stone bridge that Lauren and Matt crossed for some romantic portraits was originally built in 1798!)

After enjoying a walk along one of the canal paths, Lauren and Matt headed up to Princeton University campus for some pictures with its striking architecture in the background. Lauren and Matt told us that Princeton is one of their favorite places to hang out on the weekend. It looks like, just like always, they thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon there — even with a photographer following them at every moment.
