January Winter Lotos Club Wedding with Night Portrait with Vintage Rolls-Royce on Fifth Ave Central Park East

A Stunning January Winter Wedding at The Lotos Club, Manhattan — Classic Jazz, Vintage Rolls-Royce, and Timeless NYC Vibes

I would like to say I looked forward to photographing this wedding for a long time—not only because I had the chance to get to know the couple during their lifestyle engagement portrait session in Central Park earlier, but also because they are truly amazing people to be around and hang out with. That connection made capturing their special day even more rewarding.

Every detail at this exquisite January winter wedding in New York City was thoughtfully planned by the bride, a fashion industry insider with a passion for design. Her impeccable taste shone through every element, creating a celebration that was both elegant and deeply personal.

The wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Lotos Club, a member-only club on East 66th Street and Fifth Avenue. Known for its ornate architecture and rich history, the Lotos Club impresses guests with its grandeur — yet remains refreshingly unpretentious, a quality that consistently earns rave reviews. It’s no surprise this venue is a top choice for couples seeking a sophisticated and intimate New York wedding experience.

One of the highlights of the reception was the music, featuring the Early Bird Jazz Band, a talented five-piece ensemble specializing in classic jazz styles including Dixieland, bebop, and swing. Their lively tunes created an unforgettable atmosphere, perfectly matching the vibe of this refined celebration.

As the night progressed, a gleaming 1960s Rolls-Royce awaited outside as the couple’s getaway car. The rain had just stopped, and the reflection of light from yellow cabs created a beautiful backlight that added real depth and atmosphere to the street portraits by Fifth Avenue near Central Park. It was a dark, moody evening — the city glowing around them with just the right touch of atmosphere. I had so much fun creating different moods and styles of photographs with these two through the day. I really appreciate that they trusted my ideas and gave me space to be creative. It’s moments like these that highlight why working closely with clients and their vendors makes wedding photography so rewarding.

For couples looking for a wedding venue with character, history, and charm — paired with exceptional service and an inviting atmosphere — the Lotos Club remains a standout choice in Manhattan. This January wedding was a perfect example of how combining classic New York elements with personal touches creates a truly unforgettable celebration.
