Morris Museum Wedding Photos: Robin and Brendan

You only have to meet Robin once for her to make an indelible impression on you. Her big smile, infectious sense of humor, and non-traditional approach to life is totally inspiring. We were thrilled when she and Brendan decided to work with us for their November wedding at the Morris Museum. Fall was the perfect time for their wedding, with the gold and red leaves framing the grounds, and the temperature just right for a romp both inside and out the art and natural history museum for all kinds of photos, from goofy to glamorous to sweetly romantic.

Robin loves fashion. She wore shoes by Badgley Mischka, carried a lavender sequin clutch, and wore a knockout, bespoke wedding dress… in GREEN. She wasn’t afraid to be a statement bride! (Not to mention she had a “man of honor” instead of any bridesmaids.) Inspired by Tadashi Shoji, the dress was designed by Brendan’s uncle, Patrick Boylan, who is a couturier specializing in church vestments. (There is a fascinating NY Times article about how he started his liturgical design company.) The deep emerald green was stunning with her fiery red hair.

Robin and Brendan paid attention to all the details, and carefully chose Encore Catering to provide the food, which was — according to Kyo, who has tasted a lot of wedding meals in his time! — delicious. Their adorable wedding cake was a simple naked white layer cake festooned with multi-colored sprinkles, created by Suzi Cakes.

It was our favorite type of wedding: joyful, relaxed, and a little unconventional in just the right ways to reflect the bride and groom’s personalities. Congratulations, Robin and Brendan!!
