Chinese summer Queens Botanical Garden NYC wedding

Queens Botanical wedding with Vietnamese/Chinese tea ceremony.

How did you get engaged?
He had planned a simple proposal at the Robert Moses Beach lighthouse. We woke up early for a picnic and a walk on the boardwalk. A lot of things went wrong on the way, like forgetting to bring cash to the beach, getting chased off a restricted site by the park ranger, and getting many mosquito bites in the grass. As we walked towards the lighthouse, I was so interested in the museum that I didn’t notice he fidgeting and texting. As we walked past the lighthouse, I saw a man in the grass with a camera, so I got suspicious and kept walking. However, he kept trying to pull me back. Finally he held me and said something very corny (I don’t remember what it was), and then pulled out the ring and proposed.
I was shocked to see the ring and also very shocked to hear the clicking of a camera. That’s when the guy and a friend of ours crawled out of the grass and took pictures.

What are your favorite things to do together?
We enjoy watching tv shows and movies together, as well as going out and having great food. When the weather is nice, we also enjoy walking around and taking in the scenery. Since he likes to exercise and I don’t, we try to accommodate each other as much as we can.

What do you love most about each other?
I love his kindness and devotion to his friends and family. He is a reliable and respectful individual who will go out of his way to assist anyone in need. He is considerate to a fault, and will cause more trouble for himself so that others are not inconvenienced.
