Cherry Valley Country Club Wedding: Lucy and Nick
Lucy and Nick met in San Francisco and live in New York City now. They decided to get married in Princeton, where Lucy grew up, and their Cherry Valley Country Club wedding was full of charming moments. The smiles and laughter at Lucy’s grandparents’ house as she got ready in their living room. The cheers of the wedding party as Lucy and Nick exited their ceremony. All Nick’s jokes and antics throughout the day. It was truly jubilant!
Lucy and her mom love flowers, so they chose the bouquets and centerpieces carefully. The pale pink and white rose, dahlia, and ranunculus bouquets by Viburnum were utterly sweet and romantic, the perfect match for Lucy’s filmy tulle wedding dress from Pronovias.
Nick is a personal trainer, and he instigated a particularly special moment during the portrait session at Prospect Gardens. He got the groomsmen flat on the ground for a push-up workout. In fact, one of the signature elements of Lucy and Nick’s wedding was its high energy enthusiasm. Even the bridesmaids were showing off feats of strength during the portraits.
Like many of our favorite weddings, their celebration had quite a lively dance floor! (Props to one of our favorite DJs, 74 Events, for keeping things so happy.) It started with Lucy and Nick’s first dance — an elaborately choreographed Argentine-style tango. By the end of the reception, the maid of honor was entertaining the crowd with Balkan folkdance-style moves.
And one of the final things we loved about this wedding was the kids. The adorable ring bearer stole the show (as they usually do), and the rest of the kids at the party competed for the Most Photogenic award.
As Lucy said about her new husband, “Nick is very positive and has a lot of energy. He makes me laugh and he’s got the biggest heart.” That’s exactly how we’d describe their wedding.
