A Spring Lake Wedding in September

Although Ali and Brian live in New York City, they decided on a Spring Lake wedding at the home where Ali grew up. Ali spent a laughter-filled morning with her family and bridesmaids at home, while the groom and groomsmen hung out and cracked jokes at The Breakers hotel near the Spring Lake boardwalk. It’s hard to tell which group had the more laid-back vibe — they both seemed pretty relaxed, considering it was a momentous day for both of them!

I love the moment when Ali went downstairs just after putting on her wedding dress (a stunning gown by Pronovias) and greeted her little nephew. He seemed pleased as punch to see his aunt wearing something so special. During portraits later on the porch, he gave her the sweetest “Eskimo kiss” on the nose.

The highlight of Ali and Brian’s ceremony at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church was the enchanting singing by Ali’s sister (the mother of Ali’s picture-stealing ring bearer). Someone was entertaining the ring bearer outside, otherwise he probably would have run up to the altar again to give the singer a hug, since she is his mother.
