Metropolitan Building 4th Floor wedding: Michelle and Rex
Michelle told us that even though she explored quite a few venues for her April wedding in New York City, once she had seen the Metropolitan Building 4th floor, she couldn’t get it out of her mind. It’s easy to see why — it’s a beautiful loft space with light streaming in from huge windows on all four sides, and scattered with an eclectic mix of vintage and antique furniture. It has a free-spirited vibe that fits perfectly with Michelle and Rex’s relaxed personalities.
Their ceremony was officiated by a friend and had two adorable flower girls wearing voluminous baby’s breath flower wreath crowns. The ring bearer seemed dubious about his role before the ceremony began, but he carried it off perfectly once the action started.
They had a rockin’ party (there was never any question about that!) and around 10 pm the Wafels and Dinges food truck rolled up to the building so guests could fortify themselves with Belgian waffles and whipped cream. Michelle says it’s the most scrumptious food truck in NYC — if you want to check them out, you can find them on their waffle Twitter feed!
