This week we wanted to share something a little different than our usual wedding and family photo highlights: our review of the Adoramapix Hudson Album!
We often help our photography clients design and order custom albums. But even though Adoramapix is one of our favorite photo labs, we’d never tried their albums! So when they reached out to us, we knew we wanted to give them a try. We’re always open to trying new photography products (especially when it means we can more easily recommend them to our clients).
Bottom line: the Adoramapix Hudson Album is an heirloom-quality album, comparable to what you’d get if you ordered from a professional photography studio. (In fact, some pro photographers do use the Hudson Album for their clients.)
Our Adoramapix Hudson Album Order
Here are the complete specs for what we ordered:
- 12×12 Hudson album with 28 pages
- heavy luster paper mounted on thick white core
- metal cover
- silver edge gilding
The total cost was $380.
The ordering process was easy and simple. Adoramapix has online software that you can use to design your own album. Their templates make it really easy no matter what your level of comfort is with design. And, if do have an eye for creating, you can also choose to design your own album. We made our album in InDesign, and we’re really happy with the way it highlights Tiffany & Ben’s Glenmoore Farm Wedding (one of our very favorite New Jersey wedding venues).
Our Two Cents
Overall we are really impressed with this album! It’s high-quality, beautiful, and all the options allow you to highly customize the end product. The print quality is top-notch (which is no surprise, since it’s done by Adoramapix!).

Adoramapix Hudson Album: Tips for Ordering
- We put text on the cover of our album, and in hindsight we wouldn’t do that again (the text wasn’t 100% clear).
- The pages were just slightly thinner than the other albums we’ve used, which is just worth noting in case you have a preference.
- Our photos came out just a little darker than we’re used to, so if you’re a pro photographer and want to make sure you get the color exactly the way you want it, we recommend ordering a few test prints before you order the complete album.
