Planting cool weather vegetables in the greenhouse

Last week, we photographed Helen Chandler of Whistling Wolf Farm planting her very first cool weather vegetables for this year. She is using space in a greenhouse at Sandbrook Meadow Farm, a phenomenal CSA in Hunterdon County.

Here’s what Helen planted: leeks, onions, scallions, shallot, parsley, aster, chives, oregano, rosemary, sage, and thyme. You’ll see all these delectable vegetables at the Metuchen Farmers Market in a few months.
