Nassau Inn March wedding reception
Jennifer and John got married on a bright spring day in March, with their ceremony at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church and their wedding reception at the Nassau Inn. It’s the second marriage for both of them, so they are two families joining into one. And in an unusual twist, they each have five children, so their combined family is now twelve people, including parents and kids! Granted, most of them aren’t “kids” anymore; they are really young adults, but still…. Photographing such a large, deliriously happy, boisterous group of people was a huge delight. (Kyo kept saying to me afterward, “Wow, what a NICE family they were!”)
Sometimes Kyo has to summon all his goofy jokes, zen calm, and ninja photographic techniques to help a couple relax during portraits. After all, most people don’t love having their picture taken, and aren’t used to being stalked by a photographer for hours on end. But Jennifer and John were different. They had no problem posing for pictures — it was clear they just couldn’t stop holding hands, laughing, and kissing each other!
Congratulations, Jennifer and John! We wish you many, many years of health, happiness, laughter and love together, and with your beautiful big family!
