Madison Square Park Wedding Photos: A lively and fun-filled event.

When we first met Barbara and Kevin at a cafe near Union Square, we knew we could relate to them right away when Kevin told us that he’d just gotten back from the “InTandem All Night Donut Ride.”

“What?” we asked. An all night bike ride? To donut shops? For charity?

Anyone who would jump on the opportunity to take part in an event like that sounded pretty cool to us. And pretty soon we were deep in conversation with Barbara and Kevin about their passion for great food, touring NYC by bike, and raising money. What an awesome combination of interests.

Their passion for food carried over to their wedding celebration. They wanted something simple, but with really great food. On the spur of the moment, they talked to the manager at Sarabeth’s, one of their favorite “comfort food” restaurants in Manhattan, and discovered that the restaurant would be happy to host their wedding.

So they planned an uncomplicated affair: preparations at the Park South Hotel, portraits in nearby Madison Square Park, and a leisurely brunch-with-all-the-fixin’s at Sarabeth’s. Barbara put together an iPod playlist for the festivities, and Kevin’s second cousin officiated.

Simple and streamlined… but scrumptious. Exactly what they wanted.
