Kittatinny Valley State Park wedding: Catherine and Tony
As many of you know, Kyo is a nature guy through and through, so whenever he has the chance to photograph outdoor weddings he is always excited. And an outdoor wedding in a state park, surrounded by wildflowers and forest, is even better!
Catherine and Tony were planning a Kittatinny Valley State Park wedding, so we knew it would be fun. When we spoke to them on the phone many months ago, they told us they wanted a casual, fun, totally relaxed wedding day. And that’s exactly what it was.
They held their ceremony in a simple white tent on the edge of the woods, with sunlight streaming and a warm, friendly officiant (Pastor David Young of First Presbyterian Church in Newton, NJ). Afterwards, Kyo took them for a walk on a wooded path, through a flower meadow, and up near the weathered old barn buildings on the park property.
The reception was a short drive away, at Perona Farms in Andover, NJ. Their “naked” wedding cake had the same simple, fresh look as the rest of their wedding…. But most importantly, Catherine and Tony just basked in the love of their family and friends. It’s obvious that the two of them are made for each other, and their loved ones agree.
