Princeton area wedding professionals at the Nassau Inn Bridal Show

Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the historic Nassau Inn‘s annual Bridal Show in Princeton, NJ. There were so many creative and talented people there; we had a blast! That’s one of our favorite parts about these events: getting inspired by other professionals in the industry.

Right next to us was the Stella & Dot booth, orchestrated by the lovely and dynamic Tina Kaminski and Kathy O’Brien. Stella & Dot is a very funky jewelry company whose wares are sold exclusively through in-home trunk shows and online. The big, chunky, fabulous necklaces reminded me of poolside parties in Palm Springs…. and when I saw the company’s Look Book, I realized that my first impression was exactly what was intended!

We were also lucky to be situated directly opposite an event and floral designer whose work was stunning: Greystone Designs, run by Katherine Toland.

She had designed a compact and sculptural centerpiece for her display table which included not only hydrangeas and other flowers, but also artichoke heads, which gave the piece a natural, organic feel.

I loved the tall vases holding branches dotted with delicate flowers — I thought they were cherry blossom branches but Katherine corrected me and told me they were quince blossoms.

A few of her groovy bouquets:

Across from Katherine Toland were two catering vendors: Chez Alice and Cupa Cabana. Chez Alice is a bakery based in Princeton that creates delicious cakes. At the end of the show, when we were totally beat, it was heaven to take a break and sample their  mango mousse and chocolate cakes.

I really wanted to try their raspberry mousse cake, too, but decided not to over-indulge….

Rather than have a runway event, the Nassau Inn coordinated with The Bridal Suite boutique from Hamilton, New Jersey, as well as a large contingent of stylists from Salon Pure in Princeton, to style and dress models who walked the show right amongst the attendees.
