Wedding portrait with dog: bride and groom with golden retriever at Woodloch Pines Resort wedding

Morganne and Brian brought their beloved golden retriever to their wedding at Woodloch Pines Resort in eastern Pennsylvania, but they knew that participating in the ceremony or reception might be a little too crazy for her. But having her at the portrait session for a whimsical “family portrait” was perfect.

Over the years, our clients have incorporated their beloved pets into their weddings in various ways. A few couples have invited us into their homes for engagement sessions with their cats playing a starring role.

Some couples have had someone walk their dog down the aisle. One couple donated funds to a bulldog rescue fund on behalf of their pooch (a rescued bulldog), in lieu of wedding favors.

And one tiny, intrepid terrier named Hercules followed his owners for every step of the wedding day, from portraits to the ceremony to the reception — we couldn’t believe he was bright-eyed and bushy tailed in the bride’s arms as the last dance wound down!

Morganne and Brian’s wedding venue, Woodloch Resort, was the perfect place for a dog-lover’s wedding, due to the pet-friendly houses available on the Woodloch Springs property.
