Nonna’s 100th Birthday Party at the Stony Hill Inn

It is not often that Kyo gets asked to photograph somebody’s 100th birthday party. In fact, it has happened only once, so for us, it was a very special job.

Nonna’s birthday party at the Stony Hill Inn was originally scheduled for August 28, which was the weekend of Hurricane Irene. Although relatives had travelled from far and wide to attend the celebration, it had to be cancelled. Then Nonna wasn’t feeling well, so it was rescheduled several times. Finally, the party was held, on the day of the crazy pre-Halloween snowstorm. Clearly, Nonna has a powerful effect on the universe!
