Emily’s Bat Mitzvah, Temple Har Shalom in Warren and Basking Ridge Country Club, NJ

A few weeks ago I had a lot of fun photographing Emily’s bat mitzvah. I met Emily’s dad when I shot pictures at the Century for the Cure bike ride, a benefit for the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. He’s a wonderful guy who loves bikes as much as I do, so every time we see each other we have plenty to talk about!

Anyway, he has a wonderful family and I was delighted that he asked me to document Emily’s bat mitzvah.

After the ceremony at the temple, the family and all the guests headed over to Basking Ridge Country Club for festivities. Emily had a nice candle-lighting ceremony with her birthday cake.

Of course the party really starts with the dancing….
