Recently, I photographed an engaged couple(live in Texas) in Princeton whose story blended city energy, campus tradition, and the calm of nature.

Starting on Princeton University’s Campus

We began the session at Princeton University, where the Gothic architecture, archways, and ivy-covered walls created a classic and elegant atmosphere. Walking through the campus paths, the couple’s laughter felt light and natural, and the historic setting gave their portraits a timeless quality.

Exploring Downtown Princeton

From there, we moved into downtown Princeton. The streets provided character-filled textures and cozy corners that contrasted beautifully with the formality of the campus. This mix of settings added depth and variety to their engagement portraits.

Later in the session, the couple brought out a guitar by the river — a personal touch that reflected their love for music. The strumming added a sense of intimacy, and it was one of those moments where you could feel the story behind the portraits.

We ended the session on the D&R Canal Trail, where the water offered stunning reflections of the engaged couple. Framed by tall trees and soft evening light, this riverside spot provided a peaceful ending to a session that celebrated both love and place.
