Custom picture book for Metuchen family

One of our absolute favorite types of projects is making custom picture books for families. These projects make such touching holiday gifts (especially for grandparents, of course). Not to mention the pride that little kids feel when their bedtime book features themselves as the hero or heroine!

We wanted to show you an example of one of our recent custom picture books, which we created for a lovely Metuchen family. They had seen a cookbook we created with our own daughter and liked it so much that they asked us to produce something similar with their spunky little girl, who is five years old.

Kyo photographed the whole process of cake baking, and then I (Janna) wrote the story and laid out the design. The result is such a sweet little book. But the very best part was a couple of days ago, when I showed the pages to the little girl herself and she painstakingly read it aloud. She is just learning to read and she was so excited to read her very own story.
