Fun wedding party portrait ideas: jumping with parasols at Brooklyn Navy Yard

Brooklyn Grange Wedding Photos

Some people get stiff in front of the camera, and some people get GOOFY! For a photographer, it’s a blast when you encounter the latter.

Sarah and Nate’s bridesmaids and groomsmen could never be accused of being stiff. On the contrary, they were about as energetic, colorful, and ready for anything as they could possibly be!

Perhaps it helped that this wedding started off with a pitstop at the Kings County Distillery, right at the entrance of the Brooklyn Navy Yard where Sarah and Nate’s wedding took place?

It certainly helped that Sarah found such a RIDICULOUSLY AWESOME turquoise and fire engine red color scheme for her wedding party, along with parasols and bow ties. (And by the way, notice that Nate is wearing a tie while his groomsmen are wearing bow ties — and somehow the lack of synchrony looks better than if everyone were dressed the same!)

We had so much fun working with Sarah and Nate, who are artists and photographers themselves. They celebrated their wedding with such verve, we could understand why their friends and family were so attached to them. They are clearly Really Good People.
